Tableau Reader License Agreement

Tableau Reader License Agreement

So I had a great application case for Tableau Online this and I went with the purchase of some user licenses. I bought three seats — two to publish Blue Canary employees and see one for a client. The buying process was pretty harmless, and I expected Setup to go well because I was familiar with Tableau Server. When I started the setup process, I received the dreaded “Click here to indicate that you agree to our terms and services.” As a customer data manager, I can`t do iTunes and check the box blindly. So I`m going to read the CLA before I accept it. And lo and behold, I got to section 2.6 and I did a bit of double-take: THIS AGREEMENT IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND TABLEAU AND GOVERNS YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. THROUGH THE SERVICES, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THEY ARE PART OF THESE TOS AND TABLEAU`S PRIVACY POLICY (“PRIVACY POLICY”) AND, IF APPLICABLE, TABLEAU`S END USER LICENSE AGREEMENTS (“EULA”), AND ALL OTHER WORKING CONDITIONS AND CONDITIONS ON THE TABLE`S WEBSITE, ALL OF WHICH ARE INCORPORATED IF YOU ARE NOT AT THESE TOS TO AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SERVICES. If any of the terms of the terms of use conflict with the current confidentiality policy or ECJ, the terms of the ECJ or the current confidentiality policy apply to the contrary conditions. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please contact customer service at customerservice@tableau.com.

USE CONDITIONS Terms of use are the full agreement between you and Tableau regarding the use of the Service and replace all previous agreements between you and Tableau regarding the Service. You may also be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply if you use or purchase certain other Tableau or Tables Software services, affiliate services, third-party content or third-party software. The terms of use and relationship between you and Tableau are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, regardless of the rules of conflict of laws. You and Tableau agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the City of Seattle, Washington. The non-application or application of a right or provision of the basis of use by Tableau does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. If a provision of the unit of use is found invalid by a competent court, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavour to implement the intentions of the parties, which are set out in the provision, and the other provisions of the unit of use remain fully in force and effective. Section titles in AGs are simple and have no legal or contractual effect.
