Veterans Canteen Service Interchange Agreement

An exchange contract allows existing federal agents in the service to be candidates for job promotion in a competitive service. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all the conditions as of the date of this notice, 17.08.2020. “Time-in grade” condition: Candidates who are current federal public servants and who have received a GS rating at any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet the rank requirements until the deadline for this announcement. For a GS-06 position, you must have served 52 weeks at GS-05. The rank may have been in any profession, but it must have been maintained in federal service. An SF-50 that indicates your right of access must be submitted with your application file. Note: The “time-in-grade” conditions also apply to former federal employees seeking reinstatement, as well as current staff members applying to be appointed to the Veterans Employment Employment Opportunities Act 1998 (VEOA). Applicants must be eligible under the exchange contract, as they have served for at least one year without interruption in the other benefit system under this exchange agreement. All 38 Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) staff must have served for at least 90 days in their position for the exempt service in order to be eligible for a position in the competitive service. Candidates previously selected as part of a Tender Examination Unit (DEU) must have exercised their position for at least 90 days prior to being eligible for other positions in the competition department. In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, you must also: Specialized experience You can qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have a specialized experience of at least one year corresponding to the following lower class GS-05 in the normal no line for the trade in the organization. Volunteering contributes to the creation of critical skills, knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly into paid employment.
